It is with great sadness however we must announce that our trusty iron steed that carried us and our equipment safely from job to job and back again has died. Terminal, yet also quick and relatively painless, in a way an envious end.
The silver lining to this particular vehicular cloud is that we are upgrading our horse’s powers to allow for even more equipment to be packed in more comfortably in a bigger vehicle that gives us a lot more flexibility in where we can go.
Ah yes, equipment, packing it in..
One of the other little known aspects of a profession like this is the amount of equipment you need to carry. There’s a lot more to it than a backpack with a drone and a battery.
Apart from the aircraft you’ve got batteries, cameras, site & access management, fire extinguishers, clothing, paperwork, aviation maps, field monitors, communication systems, the list can go on and on and on. All to make sure that once onsite, we have everything we need to get the job done.
In the spirit of our new ride, please enjoy this, one of our favourite ever songs from the Simpsons.
